The first half of his career was spent within established international institutions, including the Toyota Motor Group subsidiary, Automark (formerly Toyotsu), and the Commercial Section of the Korean Embassy. These roles provided him with rigorous training in corporate governance, operational excellence, and international trade dynamics. In the subsequent decade, Charles pivoted his expertise towards impact-driven ventures, focusing primarily on the Agribusiness and Renewable Energy sectors. He has held key leadership positions in pioneering organizations such as SolarAid/Sunny Money, iSDA, and Sistema.bio. Here, his mission centered on addressing underserved markets with innovative solutions designed to improve lives, focusing on critical areas like health, income preservation and generation, education, and environmental sustainability. Currently, as the Country Director of Zipline Kenya, Charles fully owns the strategic, operational, commercial, and financial responsibility for Zipline’s lifesaving drone delivery service in Kenya. His mandate extends beyond P&L management to building, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing team dedicated to transforming healthcare logistics.
